Stewardship Saturday: Whitaker Ponds

Join us for a morning of planting and installing purple martin gourds to support the community-based Belonging Project at Whitaker Ponds. The Belonging Project is a community-inspired restoration project at Whitaker Ponds focused on the intentional inclusion of all communities that live/work/play in the Columbia Slough watershed.  The ultimate goal of the project is to create a place where all community members feel like they Belong, have a place to gather in community and learn about/experience nature, and where their story is being told.

Accessibility: This event will require bending over and walking on uneven surfaces. All tools, gloves and training to do the task are provided. This event is a rain or shine, so please wear closed toed shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather.

Public Transit: The #75 bus line stops at NE 47th Ave and Columbia Blvd. Walk north on NE 47th Ave about 0.25 miles, and Whitaker Ponds Nature Park will be on your right.
