Join Columbia Slough Watershed Council and bird walk leaders Ryan Gilpin and Thomas Meinzen for a summer bird and tree walk at Salish Ponds Wetland Park in the eastern part of our watershed. This free event is open to all ages.
What to bring: Pack along water, a snack, binoculars if you have them, and come dressed for the weather with warm/waterproof layers. Don't have binoculars? No problem! We will have some available for borrow during the event.
Getting There: We will meet in the parking lot of Salish Ponds Elementary School (1210 NE 201st Ave #9642), at the western edge of Salish Ponds Wetland Park.
Public Transport: Tri-met Bus #77 runs along N.E. Halsey Street. Get off at Halsey and 201st and walk a couple of blocks south on 201st to turn left into the elementary school grounds.
Accessibility: The path is fairly flat, mixed gravel, dirt, and paved, and there is an ADA-accessible portable restroom on site.
