New Release: Read our 2020-2021 Annual Report!
We’re excited to share our 2020-2021 annual report with you—hot off the press! This report features some of our new partnerships and programs, summarizes the work of our stewardship, events, volunteer, and education programs, and includes a message from our Board Chair and Interim Executive Director.
A few highlights: from July 2020 to June 2021, we organized 22 public stewardship events, hosted 41 kayak and canoe events (including public, school, and culturally-specific paddles), created 39 new educational videos and activities, and connected people to nature in the city through 10 free bird walks and 3 educational webinars. We’ve continued our efforts to advance equity in access to the outdoors and provide green workforce development through strategic outreach and partnerships with local organizations led by and serving people of color. In 2020-21, we also invested in equitable outdoors access through new initiatives like our Bilingual Paddle Leaders Program (page 11 of our report) and fiscal sponsorship of People of Color Outdoors (page 12).
