Join Columbia Slough Watershed Council’s Education Director, Jennifer Starkey, for a free Zine Class! What is a zine you ask? Zines are a cool medium for DIY analog self publishing. This class is for anyone 16+ who wants practice creating a zine from one piece of paper. Those 15 and under are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
If you’re thinking, “What should I make my zine about?” The best part is, it can be about anything you want! Your favorite native plant? An invasive plant? An animal that has always lived here? A how-to guide? The possibilities are endless!
We’ll have snacks, cold drinks and supplies for zine making! Feel free to bring your supplies as well.
Getting there: Free parking is available at Whitaker Ponds. We’ll meet at the Columbia Slough Watershed Council office just past the gazebo. Taking public transportation? Bus #75 drops riders off at NE 47th Ave and Columbia Blvd, a .25 mile walk from Whitaker.
