Join birders and naturalists Thomas Meinzen and Ryan Gilpin for a FREE morning bird walk at Wilkes Creek Natural Area! This natural area is a gem in the eastern portion of the Columbia Slough watershed, located at the headwaters of Wilkes Creek, one of the last free-flowing streams in the city that still flows into the Columbia Slough.
Restroom: There is an ADA accessible restroom nearby at Wilkes City Park, but no restrooms inside Wilkes Creek Natural Area.
Accessibility: The walk will take place on soft, uneven ground, with a small hill to climb for part of the walk. Please contact thomas.meinzen@columbiaslough.org if you have any accessibility questions.
