PANSY Nature Walk

  • Whitaker Ponds 7040 Northeast 47th Avenue Portland, OR, 97218 United States (map)

Discover the beauty of nature and celebrate community at the PANSY Walk. This event encourages queer community members to engage with the outdoors, find healing through nature, and connect with others in the community.

Embracing the name "PANSY" reflects our mission to reclaim a term with historical significance, turning it into a symbol of resilience and empowerment within the LGBTQIA+ community. The PANSY flower, known for its ability to thrive in diverse conditions, symbolizes our commitment to inclusivity and strength in diversity. Join us as we explore the rich plant life around Whitaker Ponds, guided by Watershed Council Program Coordinator, Liz Coll. Learn about plant identification and discover how plants can serve as sources of strength and resilience!

At the end of the event, all participants will get to take home flowers, curtesy of Portland Nursery.
