Join us in celebrating Earth Day by taking a guided bird walk at Wilkes Creek Natural Area, led by Audubon’s Green Leaders!
Wilkes Creek is one of the last remaining surface creeks providing clean, cold water directly to the Columbia Slough. The work we'll be doing this Earth Day (see “Wilkes Creek Restoration” event) will help restore this important clean water source in the watershed.
This Earth Day celebration is in partnership with Verde, Friends of Trees, Portland Audubon and Portland Parks and Recreation. Throughout the day there will be THREE separate events happening to connect the neighborhood to its fantastic green spaces, including this one. Lunch and snacks will be provided on site 12-1 pm.
For each event, we will be meeting at Wilkes Park, 3655 NE 154th Ave, Portland, OR. This walk is rain or shine.
Please register at the link below. Face coverings are not required, but social distancing is recommended.
Accessibility: This event will involve walking on soft, uneven ground. Restrooms will be available on site.
