Join Columbia Slough Watershed Council and Portland Parks & Recreation for a cleanup at Kelley Point Park! This is a great all ages event, however minors must be accompanied by an adult.
This beautiful 100+ acre park is located at the confluence of the Columbia Slough, Willamette River and Columbia River. This area offers a true refuge for wildlife (salmon, birds, turtles, coyote, deer and more) as well as people. If you have time after the cleanup, we recommend that you spend time after the cleanup enjoying a picnic on the sandy beach or walking the trails!
Getting There: After turning onto N Kelley Point Park road, you will follow the road to the very end. Free parking is available in this lot. Keep an eye out for the Columbia Slough Watershed Council sign!
What To Bring: Pack along water, weather appropriate clothing (don't forget a sun hat) and sturdy close toed shoes. Work gloves, trash bags, trash pickers, and light snacks will be provided for you.
Accessibility: Volunteers are welcome to work along even paved surfaces, as well as the sandy river front areas. Restrooms are available near the parking lot.
