Adam Reese

Adam has served on the Council as a business representative since 2017.  He is an engineering geologist and co-owner of a geotechnical engineering consulting firm headquartered in the Portland Metro area. Adam holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Geoenvironmental Studies. Adam’s history with the Columbia Slough has included environmental characterization and clean-up of contaminated sediments within the Slough and its managed tributaries, as well as upland environmental consulting related to soil and groundwater within the watershed. In addition, Adam’s professional background includes geotechnical consulting related to the levees and interior drainage system within the watershed.

Through spending time within the watershed in a professional capacity, Adam gained an appreciation of the natural beauty of the Columbia Slough, as well as an understanding of the importance of this unique urban resource. In addition to serving on the Board and Executive Council of the CSWC, Adam is a Past-Chair of the Oregon Section of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG), a Board Member on the Oregon State Board of Geologist Examiners (OSBGE), a Friend of BDI for the Business Diversity Institute (BDI), and a Past-President of the Portland Bocce League Association (PBLA). When he’s not working or serving in these roles, Adam enjoys hiking, whitewater rafting, and travel adventures with his wife and two children.
